During the week of Dec. 14-20, a total of 211 crimes tracked by The Augusta Press were reported to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Violent crimes included 72 assaults, nine of which were classified as aggravated assaults and 20 as family violence battery.

  1. It would be nice if Columbia County was reporting the crimes in their county like Richmond County. We need open records on Edgefield, McDuffie and Burke counties in order to reflect the crime in the community. To just report Richmond is disingenuous.
