The incidence of gun violence would be dramatically reduced if every person (no exceptions) using a firearm during the commission of a crime was prosecuted in federal court and sentenced to at least 5 years in prison. That includes the clown in Augusta who invaded home, shot at the residents, and was sentenced by a local judge to 15 years of probation under the First Offender Act.

  2. Yes. This is the best possible “gun control” measure the government can take. Send people away for a LONG time for illegal gun use or possession. Just be careful in crafting the legislation so overzealous lefties don’t twist the spirit of the law to grab up people who had no criminal intent.
