A Waynesboro man accused of breaking into the home of an Augusta couple and shooting at them pleaded guilty to reduced charges Thursday, July 28, and received a probation sentence.
Andric T. Jones, 47, pleaded guilty in Richmond County Superior Court to aggravated assault, burglary, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Additional charges of homes invasion and a second aggravated assault and weapon charges were dismissed.
Jones is accused of breaking into a couple’s home on Tobacco Road May 24, 2020, and shooting at them. He was sentenced to 15 years of probation under the First Offender Act.
