Robert Bruce Carstarphen, Jr. (1951-2022), son of Robert Bruce Carstarphen, Sr. and Wanda Bible Carstarphen, died peacefully at Augusta University Medical Center on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Bruce was a lifelong resident of Augusta and graduated from Augusta College. He worked with his dad, who was fondly known as “Sarge”, in his paper business. He attended Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. He had many cousins. He lived a quiet life in his childhood home for many years and he will be missed. Bruce is survived by a number of cousins including Frank and Linda Carstarphen, Marion and Peggy Clark, and Charlotte Cash. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Nadine Ellsworth-Moran and Rev. Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
