Mr. Jack Dorman Bennett, Sr., 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 31, 2021. Jack was born on April 7, 1929, in Waldo, Florida and was raised in Douglas, Georgia. He joined the United States Air Force and served 6 years. Upon leaving the military, he went to work at DuPont until his retirement. Jack’s favorite hobbies were going to the beach and traveling all over the U.S. with his wife Marceline in their motorhome. He is preceded in death by his parents: James and Eula Bennett; his beloved wife: Marceline of 66 years and their son: Jack Dorman Bennett, Jr. Family members include his daughter: Jane Starling (Danny); grandchildren: John Miller (Robbie), Elizabeth Wambsgans and five great-grandchildren. A Homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Augustine Episcopal Church, 3321 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA.
