Charleston, SC – John W. (Buddy) Griffin, Jr. passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Buddy graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and spent more than 30 years in law enforcement in the United States Coast Guard and as Chief of Police in Harlem, Georgia and Folly Beach, SC. He retired to Charleston and enjoyed many years being on the water and the boating life.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, his sister, Cherie Griffin, his daughters Tiffany Salmons and Wendy Legans, his sons, Jonathon Griffin, Justin Griffin, and Terry Kennedy, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Folly Beach Methodist Church on Friday, April 22, at 2:00.
