Entered into rest on Sunday, March 27, 2022, John Anthony Carbone, 75, husband of Linda Bowman Carbone. John was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren adored him. John Served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and then worked for the U.S. Post Office for 38 years. Being born in Brooklyn, NY, John was an avid New York Giants fan. Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Melissa Canfield (Shawn), Alicia Medlin (Eric); grandchildren: Maddison Hornsby, the late Bryce Canfield, Riley Medlin, Chase Canfield and Jessica Canfield; sister: Theresa Carbone; special nephew: Vincent Acerenza (Susan) and may other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents Bartholomew and Theresa Carbone and ten siblings. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Robert Lehn officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
