Entered into rest on Sunday, March 6, 2022, Mrs. June Whitlock Przybysz, 94, loving wife of Bogumil “Bob” Przybysz. June was born in Brooklyn, NY but lived in the Augusta and Aiken areas for most of her life. As a young woman, she modeled professionally in New York City and Hollywood. One of Samuel Goldwyn’s handpicked Goldwyn Girls, she appeared in several Golden Age musicals such as Guys and Dolls, Kismet, and Silk Stockings, and traveled through Europe, Australia, and South America promoting MGM movies. She also traveled independently, visiting the Soviet Union during the height of the Cold War while Khrushchev was in office. Later in life she found adventure through her love of reading and the arts. Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughter: Shawn Whitlock Mitchell (Brian); grandsons: Tyler Mitchell (Erinn) and Connor Mitchell; stepdaughter: Jane Przybysz (Mark Warther); stepson: Richard Przybysz (Lonnie), and step grandchildren: Kendall Warther, Brianna Zajicek, Bryce Przybysz, and Brandon Young. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Kirby and Martha Carmack.
