Entered into rest on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, William Phillip Huey, 70. Phil was a native of Dublin, GA. For most of his career he worked as a carpenter. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a huge Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. He loved his family and spending time with his granddaughters. Family members include his children: Lani Huey, Jessica Huey and Nicholas Huey; granddaughters: Anna Claire Parrish and Layla Parrish; mother: Margaret Huey Thigpen; brothers: John Huey and Mark Huey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father: William “Bill” Huey; daughter: Amanda Huey; and sisters: Helen Bargerstock McKrisky and Shirley Durand. The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. John Donaldson officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rick Harrell, Josh Huey, Mark Huey, Nicholas Huey, Tyler Kinchen and Thomas Rickerson.
