Russell Dye, 91, entered into rest Sunday, January 16, 2022, at University Hospital. Russell was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a devoted Christian, a wonderful father and an amazing grandfather. He retired from the U.S. Postal service. At his beloved church, Trinity on the Hill United Methodist, he was a member of the Damrun Sunday school class, a singer in the Prime Time Choir and an Usher for many years. His time on Earth was spent serving the Lord, making people laugh, and lending a helping hand in any way he could. In lieu of flowers you may make donations to Trinity on The Hill United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Annette Dye; son: John Dye; daughter: Helen Kelly; granddaughter: Emily Cole (Tyler); and nieces: Nancy Prickett and Michelle Simmons. He is preceded in death by his father, John Hugh Dye, mother, Emily Helen Dye, and sister, Emily Helen Prickett. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
