Entered into rest on Saturday, January 1, 2022, Mrs. Sadie Compton, 90, loving wife of the late James Compton. Born in 1931, Sadie was born in Augusta, GA to the late George and Mary Sleister. She retired from BI-LO after working in the Grocery Industry for over 30 years. Family members include her son: Clarence Muns (Janet) of Augusta; grandchildren: Kim M. Crowe of Evans and Kevin R. Muns (Nicole) of Martinez; great granddaughters: Rachel Crowe, Mallory Crowe, Sadie Muns, and Addie Muns; and brother: George Sleister (Diane) of Evans. In addition to James, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Muns, Sr., her son, James R. Compton, Jr., and by her sister, Betty Maddox. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Pastor Malone Morris officiating.
