Entered into rest on Friday, March 25, 2022, Mrs. Sara Winifred Edwards, 91, loving wife of the late Archie R. Edwards. Winifred was a former secretary at Warren Baptist Church where she was also a member. She enjoyed cooking, with chicken and dumplings being her favorite amongst her family. She loved her feline companion and working in her flower bed. Family members include her son: Samuel Edwards (Dale); daughter-in-law: Mary Ann Edwards; grandchildren: Allison Beckham (Bryan), Garrett Edwards, Nathan Edwards, and Scott Martin (Missy); and great grandchildren: Audrey Beckham, Madelyn Beckham, Matthew Martin, and Lucas Martin. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Robert Edwards, and parents, Fred and Clara Rountree. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
