We’re still in this weird place where the left insists that they absolutely aren’t mutilating children and that if they aren’t allowed to continue to mutilate children children will die.
Reality, and science (real studies), indicate that the vast majority of dysphoria cases would resolve themselves without any intervention at all if just left alone. Any claims about long term benefits are wholly unfounded as a matter of science because there is no long-term to study when it comes to this as it’s a new experiment being conducted on children.
As for the American Academy of Pediatrics, that’s an now organization being run by political/religious ideologues with medical degrees which is well to the left of WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) on standards of care for minors. WPATH, as out there as they are, is against the sort of mutilation the AAP is encouraging.
