Two homicides recorded early Sunday morning in Augusta



Two people were fatally shot in Augusta in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The first homicide took place at 10th and Broad Streets in downtown Augusta, where the victim was shot at least one time and pronounced dead on scene at 2:56 a.m. Sunday, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release.

  1. The bodies keep piling up. I kind of miss the days when Augusta was the “Garden City”. It’s going to be interesting to see the long-term results of Georgia’s gun-carry legislation, and if this process influences criminals’ decisions.
