Lois E Culpepper Craddock

Grovetown, GA – Lois E. Culpepper, 85, wife of the late Lewis E. Culpepper, entered into rest on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Piedmont Augusta (formerly University Hospital).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors with Don Starrett officiating.

Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Culpepper, daughter of the late Mollie Kinard Craddock and James Curtis Craddock was born in Denmark, SC.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her son Michael L. Culpepper.

She is survived by her children, Myrna E. Culpepper and Renea Soos (Anthony); her grandson Jonathan Soos (Leah); her great grandchildren, Raya & Liliana Soos; her siblings, Francis Craddock (Ann), Larry Craddock, Linda Ray (Cecil); her brother-in-law, Charles Culpepper; her sister-in-law and travel companion, Barbara Boynton; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lois worked at Southern Bell in South Carolina and then transferred to Augusta in 1955. She met her husband on a blind date and together they raised three children, one of which was handicapped. She was a hard worker, taking care of her home and many rental properties. She held many jobs over the years including driving a school bus and also worked in nursing for a short while. She was best known for her southern smile and sweet disposition.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Soos, Jonathan Soos, Moody Reese, Charles Culpepper, Nathan Norman, and Josh Norman.

The family will receive friends at 1 o’clock, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
