University Hospital Vaccine Clinic Dates Set for April

University Hospital administered more than 800 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine March 30 at Tabernacle Baptist Church.

“We had a great vaccination clinic,” according to an email from Rebecca Sylvester with University Hospital.

Additional clinics will be held in April. Moderna vaccines are available to Georgia residents 18 years-old and older while Pfizer vaccines are open to those 16 years-old and older, according to a news release.

Registration is required for the vaccine clinics.

Only one appointment per name. If two people are attending together, both names must be on the registration. Duplicates will be deleted.

These are not drive-through clinics. People will be required to go inside a building. Face masks covering the mouth and nose must be worn during the process.

People cannot receive the vaccine if they’ve had a fever in the past 24 hours; if they or anyone they live with has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days; if they’ve been treated with antibody therapy in the past 90 days; or if they’ve received any type of vaccination such as flu, shingles or pneumonia.
