In just under six months of opening its first location, 7 Brew is celebrating the opening of a second location in Augusta that will provide over 50 jobs to the community.

On Friday morning, Aug. 11, 7 Brew presented a $2,000 donation to the Children’s Hospital of Georgia at the ribbon cutting ceremony of their new south Augusta store, located at 2915 Peach Orchard Road.

“It means so much to us; as a nonprofit hospital, we depend on the support of the community to be able to fund lifesaving equipment, technology and treatments,” said Kelsey McCullough, the hospital’s senior Children’s Miracle Network Philanthropy coordinator. “To have the support of 7 Brew makes a huge difference, and we are so grateful and excited for this new establishment in our community.”

With over 100 stands across the country and serving a daily average of 400-500 customers in Augusta, 7 Brew wanted to give back to the community by not only donating to the local nonprofit hospital, but by also making the drive-thru lanes the best part of every consumer’s morning.

“We’ve been so excited, just foaming at the mouth, to get this open,” said Isaac Minck, 7 Brew stand manager. “At 7 Brew we’re big about promoting our community … this donation to the Children’s Hospital is exactly the kind of things we want to do.”

More than just an average coffee stand, the drive-thru coffee concept is revolutionizing the industry by cultivating an atmosphere of kindness and joy with every drink.

“Part of what we focus on at 7 Brew is consistency, quality, speed and building relationships with our customers,” said Mincks. “That’s who we are, and we’re trying to make it as convenient as possible to get people in and out.”

Honoring their partnership with Augusta’s Metro Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Garnett Johnson said he hopes 7 Brews continues to grow within the city, and keep advocating for local nonprofits.

“We always look for business partners that want to help improve the community,” said Johnson. “I remember their first location off of Charlestowne Way … to see the energy it takes to serve coffee with good music and a wonderful vibe, and now transfer it here in south Augusta where we continually need more investments and more opportunities – this is just really special.”

Paying their employees well, and keeping them energized throughout shifts with free drinks and playing a variety of music, Mincks said 7 Brew believes in treating workers fairly and keeping them happy, because it transfers into great customer service.

“Happy workers means happier shifts, so as long as you take care of them, they stick around,” he said.

According to Mincks, 7 Brew differs from competitors because they offer over 20,000 flavors – perfect for mixing it up and creating a unique drink every visit. Advertising more than coffee, 7 Brew also sells its own brand of teas, smoothies, fizzy beverages and energy drinks that are all customizable to meet the needs of everyone.

“We even have 10 to 12 sugar-free flavors,” said Mincks. “You can also order an energy drink and infuse it with one of our fruit flavors; they’re a lot more subtle than other popular energy drinks.”

Hoping to open a third location in Augusta around December or January, Mincks said 7 Brew is planning on constructing a total of 12-15 stands throughout the CSRA, and another 12-15 in Columbia, S.C.

“We have over 40,000 cars driving on this road, so we’re trying to serve as many as possible,” said Mincks. “This lot itself can fit over 30 to 45 cars in line without blocking any traffic; that’s how we intended to build it and we have the employees for it.”

7 Brew’s next step is to continue celebrating with a whole week of drink specials, ending with a promotion on Saturday, Aug. 19, where the first customer in each drive-thru line will win free coffee for a year, and every customer will receive a free t-shirt with a purchase of a large drink.

To receive a free small drink next week, visit the new 7 Brew location on Aug. 14, 16 and 18 from noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m., or on Aug. 15 and 17 from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. or noon to 1 p.m.
