A candlelight, open-house style tour will be available to locals on Friday, Dec. 6, and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 5-7:30 p.m.

Historic Augusta Inc. is welcoming guests to visit and explore the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson through a self-guided tour, located at 419 Seventh St.

“Come see the Wilson House as it is decked with festive decorations, candles flickering and music filling the house with cheer,” stated a press release from Historic Augusta Inc.

Volunteers will be placed throughout the home to share information as visitors walk through and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

According to Historic Augusta Inc., this year’s decorations will reflect 1924 the year of President Wilson’s death, when the Rev Dr. Joseph Ramsy Sevier and his family were in residence.

Refreshments and children’s activities will be featured, along with beautiful decorations, treats and music.

Tickets start at $10 for children (ages K-12) and are $15 for adults, or $12 for seniors and military.

“This event will be the perfect way to usher in the beginning of the Christmas season,” stated a press release from Historic Augusta Inc.

For interested parties, tickets can be bought through Historic Augusta’s website at https://historicaugusta.org/holiday-tours/ or at the Wilson House.
