Adams sentenced to life in prison for murder

A man from Columbia, S.C. has been sentenced to life in prison for a murder that occurred in the CSRA. 

According to a press release from Augusta District Attorney Jared Williams, Naytrone Adams, 26, was found guilty on Dec. 5, 2024 on charges of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage to property in the first degree and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was sentenced on Jan. 6 to life without the possibility of parole on the malice murder charge, with an additional 75 years on the other charges. These will run consecutive to the life sentence.  

“Gun crimes only lead to one of two places: prison or the grave. Young people, stop forfeiting your lives. Put the guns down,” Williams said.

The victims were Keyeon Demmons, Mylak Wimberly, and Jabree Myuers. Demmons was the murder victim
