A young couple were found dead in a car Friday night on a lonely dirt road in the Windsor community of Aiken County, authorities said.

The boyfriend and girlfriend are not believed to be the victims of any foul play, but the cause of their deaths will have to wait on an autopsy and toxicology tests, Coroner Darryl Ables said.

In July, authorities said the couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The woman’s mother found the couple’s bodies in the boyfriend’s car, located on private property on the 600 block of Tranquility Place. The car was not running.

“We don’t know if it’s some type of accident. Clearly, no crime has taken place,” Ables said. “It’s too early to try to identify a cause or manner of death at this time, but you wouldn’t expect two young people to suddenly die from medical issues pretty much around the same time.”

The victims have been identified as 24-year-old Daquan Cuthbertson of Williston and 20-year-old Destiny Dunbar of Windsor.
