The Aiken Fest has been extended until March 7, following popular demand. The rides, food, and games located at Western Carolina State Fairgrounds will be around until Sunday, giving those interested another chance to enjoy.
Aiken Fest incudes over 20 rides, like the Himalaya, Starship 3000 and Magic Maze. There are several rides geared toward children and festival favorites like funnel cakes and various games are easy to find.
Reithoffer Shows, who manages the festival, has placed ample safety precautions in place in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 at the family fun event. Temperature checks take place upon entry, hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the premises, and seating on rides has been modified to account for social distancing.
Gate entrance with no rides is five dollars, and free for ages five and under. For gate entrance and unlimited rides, the cost is $20 during the week and $25 on the weekends, for all ages. Tickets for individual ride sales are available within the gates.
The festival open at 5 p.m. during the week and 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. More info can be found at Aikenfestival.com and by following Aiken Festival on social media.
