Aiken man dies from injuries in weekend wreck

An Aiken man died Thursday following a two-vehicle crash over the weekend on Whiskey Road, authorities said.

Keith Patterson, 73, died Thursday afternoon at Wellstar MCG Health in Augusta, where he was taken following the wreck on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 1.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of Whiskey Road and East Pine Log Road, according to Coroner Darryl Ables. Patterson was the driver of a 2011 Ford Edge traveling South on Whiskey Road in he collided with a 1996 Chevrolet SUV.

The Aiken County Coroner’s Office along with the Aiken Department of Public Safety are continuing with the investigation.
