Date: November 08, 2025

The body of an Aiken man was found Saturday morning at Windsor Recreational Park, the coroner said.

Jamal Richardson, 29, was pronounced dead at 5:35 a.m. Saturday from a gunshot wound, Coroner Darryl Ables said in a press release. The shooting happened at Windsor Recreational Park, a 10-acre public park on Old School Road that includes a playground and open field.

The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case along with the coroner’s office. Richardson will be autopsied next week in Newberry.

Richardson was being remembered online as the “coolest” guy who was “down to earth” and had the “biggest heart.”
