Aiken man is fatally stabbed in New Ellenton

An Aiken man was fatally stabbed early Monday in a New Ellenton home, authorities said.

Kennard A. Thomas, 32, died after being rushed to Augusta University Medical Center, according to Coroner Darryl Ables.

New Ellenton police responded at 1:28 a.m. Monday to a residence in the 500 block of Camel Street for a call of a stabbing victim.

 “Upon officer’s arrival, a male victim was found inside the home with a stab wound to his body,” Ables said.

No motive or suspects have been announced. The coroner and New Ellenton police are working the case.
