Aiken man killed in morning crash on Rudy Mason Parkway

A deadly A two-vehicle crash closed down Rudy Mason Parkway for much of Wednesday.

A two-vehicle crash on Rudy Mason Parkway claimed the life of a 40-year-old Aiken man Wednesday morning, according to Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables.

The fatal collision occurred around 8:15 a.m. near the intersection of Rudy Mason Parkway and Willow Run Road.

Joshua Millard, driving a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country minivan eastbound, reportedly crossed the centerline and collided with a westbound 2024 Volvo semi tractor-trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:35 a.m. as a result of blunt force injuries, Ables said. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Newberry.

The S.C. Highway Patrol and Aiken County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the crash, which closed Rudy Mason Parkway for much of the day.
