Aiken police are searching for Toby Fuewell in connection with the July 7 shooting death of Jamar Bush on Dillon Avenue.

Fuewell, 20, is wanted for involuntary manslaughter, which is a criminal charge used in accidental shootings where the death was not intended. He is also wanted for weapons charges.

Bush was fatally shot on the block where he lives in the 800 block of Dillon Avenue. At the time, Aiken police said they didn’t have much to help the investigation.

“Ain’t nobody cooperating,” Capt. Martin Sawyer said in July.

Jamar Bush was killed at age 22.

The victim of the shooting was killed exactly three weeks after his arrest for gunfire that struck several cars in Aiken’s Crosland Park neighborhood.

At the time, Bush was jailed for breach of peace, aggravated in nature, discharging a firearm into vehicle while occupied and possession, conceal, sell or dispose of stolen vehicle valued $10,000 or more.

For his part, Fuewell has been arrested multiple times in his young life, including charges of armed robbery, unlawful carrying of a pistol and malicious injury to property. The robbery charges were not indicted.
