April shows to look forward to at Miller Theater

There are several exciting shows and performances that will appear at the Miller Theater in the month of April. 

The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight is coming up on Wednesday, April 17. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets range between $49.60 and $108. The orchestra will be playing music from groups like Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, System of A Down, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, and more. 

The Augusta Symphony will be performing Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony on Saturday, April 20. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the symphony will begin at 7:30 p.m. This is part of the Piedmont Augusta Symphony Series, and tickets range between $26 and $77. The Disney movie “Up” will be shown on Sunday, April 21. Doors will open at 3 p.m., and the movie will begin at 4 p.m. Tickets are free, but seats must be reserved to attend.

The Augusta Players will perform Schoolhouse Rock! on Tuesday, April 23. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $17.50. Iconic Schoolhouse Rock songs like “Just a Bill” and “Conjunction, Junction” will be featured in the show, and a live rock band will perform onstage. 

Comedian Ali Siddiq’s show “I got a story to tell” will be on Friday, April 26. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $24 and $32. VIP tickets will include a post-show meet and greet with Siddiq. His most recent comedy show “The Domino Effect 2: Loss,” which is the sequel to his first comedy show “The Domino Effect,” has over three million views on YouTube. 

The Junior League of Augusta presents Laurel Canyon, and it will be on Saturday, April 27. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $35 to $80. Laurel Canyon will feature Brooke Lundy and Friends, who will be performing Linda Ronstadt’s songs, and Ryan Abel and Friends, who will be performing songs from Jackson Browne, The Doors, James Taylore, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and more. 

Emo Orchestra featuring Escape the Fate will be performing on Tuesday, April 30. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $50 to $65. Emo Orchestra will perform four songs from Escape the Fate as well as songs from artists like Evanescence, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, and more. There is a limited availability VIP package, and it includes an exclusive “One For the Money” sheet music signed by Escape the Fate and the conductor, one exclusive Emo Orchestra patch, a commemorative meet and greet laminate, and a shopping opportunity prior to the doors opening to the public.
