The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a female suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Sunday at the Dollar General store on the 2400 block of Tobacco Road in Hephzibah.

According to a police report by Corporal John Scott, the suspect, described as a Black female between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5’5” tall and weighing between 165 to 175 pounds, entered the store multiple times throughout Sunday afternoon. She was seen wearing a white Snoopy sweatshirt, baggy pleated blue jeans, a burgundy or red knit cap, and a black medical face mask.

The suspect reportedly loaded a basket with groceries during her initial visits to the store. At the register, she repeatedly claimed she didn’t have her phone, leaving the checkout area before returning to browse more items. After convincing an unknown customer in the parking lot to pay for some of her groceries, she later approached the register with a handwritten note demanding $50 and warning not to press the alarm.

During the robbery, the suspect briefly displayed a small handgun after receiving $100 from the register and then fled the store on foot, heading east. A witness observed her running behind the business near air conditioning units but lost sight of her thereafter.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office warns that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact Investigator Dakota Clark or any on-call investigator at (706) 821-1454 or (706) 821-1020.
