Arrest made in Felycya Harris homicide

An arrest has been made in the murder of a transgender woman, Felycya Harris.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office released the following statement.

“Investigators located and arrested Jerrome Tyvone Miller (30 yoa, of Augusta, GA), subsequently charging him with Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime, in reference to Harris’ death. The case is still being actively worked and no further details are being released at this time.”

Harris’ mother, Clara Taylor stated of FaceBook today

“Thank you God…….Felycya Harris got her justice TODAY…..LOVE YOU FELYCYA”

Harris, a transgender social media influencer, was found shot to death at Meadowbrook Park in south Augusta on Oct. 3, 2020.
