Ashley Brown Picks the Playoffs

Ashley Brown, Sports Columnist

Date: November 18, 2021

Each week, I attempt to predict the winners for our area high school football matchups. Being the competitive person that I am, I pride myself on posting a certain percentage of winners. Well, this season, that number (which has always been 80%) was in jeopardy due to a terrible start. However, I am happy to report that, after posting my best week of the season last week, I am now over 80%. I went 22-1 a week ago to being my season total to 142-33 (81.1%).

Now, all I have to do is not blow it over the next couple of weeks…

All kidding aside… we have 16 area teams still alive in the playoffs this week, including an area private school competing for an eight-man football state championship in the GISA ranks. Here is a look at the games involving ranked teams, with my predicted outcome for each contest.
