Last Week’s Top Performers

Quinshawn Hearst (Thomson)

This Washington-Wilkes transfer is a tackling machine. This week in Thomson’s 20-0 win over ARC, Hearst piled up 16 tackles (including 11 solo stops) and 2 tackles for loss. In three games this season, he already has 39 stops.

Joe Hampton (Evans)

Hampton was electric in Evans’ 42-20 win over Grovetown. He rushed for 192 yards and 3 TDs on just 14 carries and amassed 257 all-purpose yards.

Green torched Josey’s defense for 296 yards and 4 TDs on 29 carries in Westside’s 40-13 victory.

Wilson Donnelly (Greenbrier)

Donnelly, who is also the back-up quarterback, nailed a 35-yard field goal (that would have been good from 50 yards) in the closing seconds to give Greenbrier a 23-21 win over Apallachee.

Traevon Dunbar (Silver Bluff)

Dunbar continued his impressive season with 219 yards and 3 scores on 23 carries as Silver Bluff remained undefeated, beating #8 Wade Hampton 40-14.

Zack Blackwell (Augusta Christian)

I should just copy and paste his name in this feature each week. On Oct. 1, Blackwell turned in another sensational game. He rushed for 236 yards and a pair of TDs on 24 carries and also had 6 tackles as the Lions topped Wilson Hall 34-10.
