Augusta University Police Department is investigating a bomb threat found in a bathroom Friday morning at the downtown College of Science and Mathematics.

Someone discovered a note, shared with The Augusta Press, warning a fire would consume the building at 10:30 a.m. “Stop bullying me,” it said.

Police determined that “based on the circumstances, the threat had little credibility,” according to a statement.

The building was not evacuated, but a bomb K9 performed a search, it said. No device was found.
