Augusta announces more railroad crossing work

The City of Augusta has posted new locations for railroad crossing work it believes will be in effect Wednesday morning.

The crossings include “Broad St. near Greene St.,” as well as St. Sebastian Way near Greene Street and crossings at these streets located “near Walton Way.”

  • Seventh, Eighth, Ninth and 11th streets

And the following “near Riverwatch” Parkway:

  • Alexander Drive
  • Claussen Road
  • Stevens Creek Road

“Expect heavy traffic and long delays near these closures,” a city statement said.

Motorists can also expect “heavy congestion” at railroad overpasses at Greene, St. Sebastian and Furys Ferry Road, it said.
