Augusta community centers will host trick or treaters

Get ready for a frightfully fun Halloween season as Augusta’s community centers transform into spooky heavens for trick-or-treaters of all ages.

Following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Richmond County’s Recreation & Parks Department is offering a safe alternative to trick-or-treating within local neighborhoods.

“Join us for our annual Halloween events filled with candy, fun and more,” stated a press release from the City of Augusta.

This year’s Halloween events include:

  • Oct. 22 – from 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Trunk or Treat Drive Through at the Robert Howard Community Center, located at 103 Diamond Lakes Way
  • Oct. 24 – from 6-8 p.m. – Trunk of Treat on the Lump at the Bernie Ward Community Center, located at 1941 Lumpkin Road
  • Oct. 24 – from 6-8 p.m. – Trunk or Treat at Warren Road – Warren Road Community Center, located at 300 Warren Road
  • Oct. 25 – from 5-7 p.m. – Trick or Treat in the Park at the Sand Hills Community Center, located at 2540 Wheeler Road
  • Oct. 26 – from 6-10 p.m. – Trunk or Treat and Movie Night at the Eastview Community Center, located at 644 Aiken St.
  • Oct. 26 – from 5-8 p.m. – Trunk or Treat Downtown at the Augusta Common, located at 836 Reynolds St.
  • Oct. 28 – from 5:30-7:30 p.m. – Trunk or Treat at the McDuffie Woods Community Center, located at 3431 Old McDuffie Road
  • Oct. 29 – from 5-7 p.m. – Trunk or Treat at the Carrie J. Mays Family Life Center, located at 1014 Eleventh Ave.
  • Oct. 30 – from 6-8 p.m. – Boo Bash at Brigham at the Henry H. Brigham Community Center, located at 2463 Golden Camp Road
  • Oct. 31 – from 5-7 p.m. – Trunk or Treat at the May Park Community Center, located at 622 Fourth St.
