Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau Appoints New Board Members

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau added new officers and members for 2021.

The new board members include Chris Bird, Brandon Garrett and Tripp Harrison. Chris Bird
works as the General Manager of the Augusta Entertainment Complex. His employer is Spectra,
a management company that has over 750 clients. The clients are in venue management,
partnership sector and food and beverage. While representing Facilities, Attractions and Events
on the Board, Bird will be serving a three-year term.

Tripp Harrison

Brandon Garrett serves as the District 8 Commissioner on the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission. Garrett will be representing Augusta’s District 10 while acting in his two-year
term. He holds the position of Business Development Account Executive for Azalea Outdoor.

Tripp Harrison will be representing a restaurant seat on the board. He is acting Senior
Vice President of Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA and Edgar’s Hospitality Group.
His term will be three years.

The new officers elected to the Augusta CVB Board are Brandon Haddock and James
Heffner. Haddock has been elected to Board Chair. He works as the Director of Communications
at Textron Specialized Vehicles. Heffner will be serving as Vice-Chair. He is Vice President of
Commercial Banking for First Community Bank.

The other officers include treasurer Randall Blumberg, Secretary Sue Parr and Immediate Past
Chair Phil Wahl.
