Augusta Fire Department battles blaze on Walker Street

Augusta firefighters contained a fire that burned two homes in the 1700 block of Walker Street in the Harrisburg community Friday.

Around 1 p.m. firefighters continued spraying water on the structures to cool them but the fire appeared to be out.

The homes were heavily damaged but no injuries have been reported.

At least six fire units, an ambulance and a sheriff’s K-9 unit vehicle remained on the scene.
