The Augusta Fire Department is continuing to investigate a roll-over accident that badly damaged a ladder truck on Jan. 16.

The accident occurred at the on ramp to I-20 at Washington Road and resulted in three firefighters suffering minor injuries, according to the public information officer, Zaria Corvo.

“All three men were treated and released that day,” Corvo said.

According to the incident report, the driver of the ladder truck, Anthony Harris, reported he was responding to a call and attempted a wide turn onto the interstate when the vehicle’s brakes locked.

The responding officer noted in his report that he determined the vehicle was traveling too fast for the weight distribution causing the roll over. No other vehicles were involved.
