Augusta Libraries Extend Closures

Augusta, GA Public Library.

Date: January 26, 2021

All Augusta-Richmond County Public Library System (ARCPLS) branch closures will be extended through Sunday, Feb. 7. Branches will open again on Feb. 8 but will be closed on Saturdays in February. Patrons are asked not return items to any of the library book drops as there will be no staff on duty to process the items. Due dates on library materials will be extended. No fines will accrue during the closed dates. Pick up deadlines for materials on hold will be extended as well.

Beginning Monday, Feb. 8, all ARCPLS branches will go back to Phase One of the reopening process with curbside pickup only. Patrons may place holds on materials for pickup online through their PINES account or by calling the library branch of their choice. Library staff will call patrons to let them know when their items are available and schedule a curbside pickup time. Pickups will be Monday through Saturday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
