Augusta man, 29, is killed in Circle K shooting

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating the shooting death of a 29-year-old man at a Circle K gas station in Augusta.

The male was pronounced dead at 3 a.m. at the Circle K at 2822 Peach Orchard Road, Coroner Mark Bowen said.

The male was shot at least one time and an autopsy will be done. No motive or suspect description has been released.

The name of the shooting victim was not released, pending notification of kin.
