Augusta Man Found Dead Next to Scooter; Cause is Under Investigation

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a man found Friday morning on the 2500 block of Gerbing Road in Augusta.

Angel Rosario Jr., 45, lived on that road. He was found next to an electric scooter in the roadway, Coroner Mark Bowen said in a press release.

Rosario was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m. Friday. The circumstances and cause of his death remained under investigation.

He will be sent to the GBI for an autopsy, the coroner said.
