An Augusta man accused of stabbing his stepdaughter to death when she tried to stop him from strangling her mother has been indicted on murder charges.
The Richmond County grand jury returned the murder indictment Tuesday, Jan. 15 naming George J. Wilson, 75. He is accused of murder in the death of 35-year-old Kelli Lewis.
According to an early report of Wilson’s bond hearing, when he was denied bond last month, Wilson’s wife described to investigators when happened when Wilson stabbed her daughter at their Olmstead Homes apartment. Wilson was previously convicted of family violence battery in September 2020 when he was sentenced to four months in jail.
