Augusta man wanted for murder in convenience store shooting

Authorities have identified a suspect in connection to Thursday’s fatal shooting outside the One Stop convenience store on Barton Chapel Road and are now actively searching for him.

Camron Jakai Brown, 20, is wanted for murder in the shooting death of Raekwon Brinson, 28, who was found shot and pronounced dead at the scene at 2:52 p.m. Thursday outside the store at 2382 Barton Chapel Road.

Brown is described as being 5’7” tall and weighing approximately 122 pounds. Investigators say he is known to frequent the 2300 block of Barton Chapel Road and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Officials have confirmed that Camron Brown remains at large and is the subject of an ongoing manhunt.
