A suspect has surrendered on a warrant for a shooting that occurred Tuesday night at Walker Estates Apartments on Peach Orchard Road in Augusta.
Rodrigus Antaun Freeman, 41, was being sought for aggravated assault after allegedly shooting a man late Tuesday night. The victim was transported to Wellstar MCG Health in critical condition.
Richmond County deputies responded to the scene at 11:20 p.m. Witnesses at the scene identified Freeman as the shooter and later picked him out in a photo lineup.
Warrants were issued for Freeman’s arrest and he surrendered Saturday after a wanted flyer was sent out to the public.
