Augusta Mayor Garnett Johnson and other elected and appointed officials will host a Hurricane Helene recovery town hall at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Warren Road Community Center.

The event will provide residents with critical updates and provide an opportunity for their feedback on the effort, the mayor’s office said in a statement.
Representatives with FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration, debris contractor Ceres and city departments will be on hand to share updates on available resources, debris collection and recovery efforts, it said.
The event will include a question-and-answer session and be live-streamed. Residents who can’t attend may submit questions at mayorforms@augustaga.gov.
“Together, we are making significant progress, and I encourage everyone to participate as we continue rebuilding and striving toward an even stronger Augusta,” Johnson said. “This town hall represents a vital opportunity to engage with residents, address their concerns and provide important updates on our recovery efforts.”
