Community invited to take survey on Augusta Parks and Recreation

Augusta Parks and Recreation is working on its new strategic plan which outlines the vision for the future of parks, recreation and leisure opportunities in our community.

The priorities for Parks and Recreation are:

  • Customer and community service
  • Positive employee experience
  • Operational excellence and efficiency
  • Park and facility investment
  • Communications and engagement
  • Financial sustainability

The department wants to hear feedback on the plan and is asking community members to take the survey and share their thoughts.

Items included in the survey include priorities for Augusta’s parks and recreation programs and facilities thoughts on the proposed goals for the strategic plan and ideas for successful implementation.

The input will help the department makes sure the needs and wants of the community are found in the survey, help develop a successful strategy to implement the plan and improve the changes of achieving the goals of the department and creating a park system for everyone.
