Tropical Storm Elsa is interrupting the redistricting meetings being held by the House and Senate Reapportionment Committees.
Late word just released from the Georgia House of Representatives Media Office:
“Out of an abundance of caution due to impending inclement weather, tonight’s meeting in Augusta has been canceled. Information about this meeting being rescheduled will be announced at a later date.”

The Augusta meeting was scheduled for the Savannah Rapids Pavilion. It was to be the sixth of 11 scheduled town hall hearings.
It was to be the final meeting this week.
Additional hearings are planned for Brunswick on July 26 at the College of Coastal Georgia, in Albany on July 27 at Albany State University, at Columbus State University in Columbus on July 28 and in Macon on July 29 in the Mercer School of Medicine.
The final hearing will be virtual participation only. It is scheduled for July 30.
