Augusta Sports Council announces 2025 GAMES Scholarship recipients

The Augusta Sports Council recently announced the ten recipients of the 2025 GAMES Scholarship Program, who will each be awarded $1,000 to support their higher education.

Chosen by the GAMES Scholarship Committee, these recipients were senior high school student-athletes from Richmond, Columbia, Burke, McDuffie, Wilkes, Warren, Aiken and Edgefield counties.

The selection was based on the students’ academic achievements, athletic participation and community service involvement, according to a press release from the Augusta Sports Council.

The 2025 GAMES Scholarship recipients are:

  • Gabrielle Brannon, Ridge Spring-Monetta High School
  • Hunter Creasy, Aiken High School
  • Benjamin Goldberg, Lakeside High School
  • Kenzie Horton, Greenbrier High School
  • Cameron Humphrey, North Augusta High School
  • Solomon Humphreys, Lakeside High School
  • Christopher Jackson, Aquinas High School
  • Levi Ketterman, Westminster Schools of Augusta
  • Zoe Schifer, South Aiken High School
  • Rebecca Walker, South Aiken High School

The Augusta Sports Council, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports local, national and international sporting events, thanked the supporters of the 2025 GAMES Scholarship, including Augusta Coca-Cola, Augusta Half Marathon, Doctors Hospital, Morgan Stanley, and Wier/Stewart, for their contributions to the program.

Since its inception in 2011, the GAMES Scholarship Program has awarded more than $98,000 in scholarships to 88 high school student-athletes in the Augusta area.
