Augusta suspect attempts to rob Bank of America

Richmond County authorities say they have captured a suspect who tried to rob the Bank of America on Peach Orchard Road.

The attempted robbery took place at about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the bank, located at 2820 Peach Orchard Road. The suspect was seen leaving the failed robbery in what is believed to be a gray 2017 2017 Honda HR-V.

On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said they had captured the suspect. They did not name him or release his mugshot.
