Richmond County authorities continue to round up murder suspects in recent homicides.

Evyn O’Conner, 18 of Beech Island, was the latest suspect tied to the Oct. 15 slaying of 22-year-old Kyan Michael Bowie at Olmstead Holmes.

Diriuss Redd Jr., 17, was previously arrested in the murder. Other murder suspects who are still being sought in the same case include Jamari Williams, 19; Jaquez Davis, 21, and Lawrence Stephens, 19.

Bowie was shot around 9:20 p.m. Oct. 15 at 2126 B Street in Olmstead Homes. The Hephzibah man died shortly after someone in a private vehicle rushed him to Augusta University Medical Center.

In an unrelated homicide, Lamar Jaquez Jones, 22, was arrested Tuesday for the Oct. 15 slaying of 20-year-old Tymarkus Starkes on Old Savannah Road.

The victim was shot around 10:20 p.m. Oct. 15 at 1949 Old Savannah Road and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Richmond County currently has 36 homicides for the year, which don’t include two deaths of innocent drivers that occurred during police pursuits, resulting in murder charges against the fleeing suspects.
