The Augusta Symphony’s annual gala will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at the Miller Theater.
The black-tie affair is the Symphony’s sole fundraiser and offers an entertaining night out to support the organization’s mission.
“From Rossini to Puccini, your favorite librettos will be presented by acclaimed performers, featuring your Augusta Symphony,” stated a press release from the Augusta Symphony.
The gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. with champagne, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a symphony performance at 7:30 p.m. conducted by Maestro Dirk Meyer.
“After the performance, stay for the Encore Gala Celebration, including an open bar, coffee and desserts,” stated a press release from the Augusta Symphony. “Dance the night away in the Knox Music Institute, and don’t miss the photo opportunities and fun in the arcade and theater.”
Now in its 70th season, the Augusta Symphony is the primary professional orchestra for the CSRA and pursues its mission “to share the joy of great musical performance with our community” through annual symphonic, pop and family concerts that reach about 20,000 people each year, according to a press release from the Symphony.
Through its Community Chords education and outreach programs, the Symphony is striving to foster broad accessibility to live classical music performance and a lifelong appreciation of the art form among people of all ages, backgrounds and means.
“The Symphony’s Community Chords programs currently serve thousands of youth and adults in communities within a 75-mile radius of Augusta,” stated a press release from the Symphony.
Tickets for the Augusta Symphony Gala will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, and will range in price from $145-200 with an optional VIP ticket add-on of $150.
